2.  How heavy is the door?

3. How high is your ceiling?

If you have a reduced ceiling, you might have a tough time setting up usual garage door openers.  You might want a wall mounted unit that runs straight on the torsion bar. Having a really high ceiling can also be problematic. In that case, a wall mounted unit might also be the most preferable opener for your home.

4. How s

Recently I received for review two products at no charge from ACCELL:

  1. ACCELL Powersquid Surge Protector and Power Conditioner
  2. ACCELL Home or Away Power Station

ACCESS Powersquid

I have started to use this device in my own home office.

Here are the summary product details from the packaging:

  • Five 100% transformer block compatible outlets
  • 600 Joules of surge protection
  • 6 foot 14-gauge power cord
  • Limited 5-year manufacturers warranty
  • 15 Amp circuit breaker providing safety

What I like about this surge protection device is that it is precisely not in a traditional power bar format. You know the type, one or two strip surge protection device which provides a say 6, 8 or 10 outlets in a fixed position.

Here’s a fun DIY for you and the kids, from our Nursery and Kids Room Design Expert and Contributor, Sherri Blum. A pioneer specialist for children’s-room interior design, Sherri designs for celebrities, and for the baby next door.

Let’s face it, most children’s rooms are small. And considering that these rooms usually hold more junk stuff than most, parents find ourselves dealing with organizational nightmares!

We have four children and it’s a constant battle trying to convince them to clean up their rooms and put things in their proper places. Truthfully speaking, I cringe every time I open the door to my 17 year old son’s room. Some cases are just hopeless- but in the hopes that some kids’ hygiene habits are salvageable, I frequently try to come up with ideas for helping them stay organized.

I love do-it-yourself projects and especially enjoy those that we can do with our children. I’ve found th

From the States, Australia doesnt just seem very far away, but, as my oldest daughter kept reminding me, its also upside down. Thanks to doing yoga, Im quite comfortable hanging out upside down, but I thought it would be good to summarize the differences so far on this journey Down Under.

There are the obvious differences: the accent, driving on the left side of the road (but people seem to walk on the left also, which is different), and the money. In Australia, apparently the money is washable—doesnt rip or tear. Imagine that?

How about this? Imagine a country that is not at war. And does not allow guns. Hows that for a country founded by criminals? I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that there are hardly any churches, either?  Seriously, Ive seen a few churches in some small towns, but theyve all been turned into something else. Actually, Ive only seen two churches outside of Sydney. On
