An organic mattress is made of high quality materials. Buying it can be expensive, but a worthy investment. And its precisely why you need to take care of it more. Here are ways you can do to make your organic mattress last longer an perform better even after years of use.

1. Ensure that the mattress has a good, solid foundation.

If it comes with its customized frame, then thats a great deal but if you have to put it in your own foundation, you have to ensure that the this is slatted, allowing the mattress some air to flow. A solid foundation will only box it up and not let it breathe. Its the same thing with putting the mattress directly on to the floor.

If your bed foundation or bed frame is pretty boxed up, what you can do is drill some holes on it, so that air can pass through the mattress, which is what an organic mattress will need to last longer.

Brittany Anas reports for the Boulder Daily Camera,

At the Kerr Community Garden in Louisville, Stephanie Schmitt — who grew up a “city girl” — spent Monday morning working on a plot ripe with cilantro, snap peas, carrots and other herbs and veggies.
It’s the “senior plot,” she said, because it has been a place for senior citizens, like herself, to garden together. The women who tend to the plot, including some who have downsized from houses with big backyards and gardens to apartments, donate some of their food to the local senior center or food bank.
A new study led by University of Colorado scholars shows that community gardeners harvest better health, as well as stronger connections to their neighborhoods.
Community gardeners eat more vegetables, exercise more, weigh less and feel healthier than non-gardeners — and even home gardeners — in the Denver-metro area, researchers found.
Community gardens are parcels of land divided into plots in which people can grow vegetables, herbs and flowers.
Denver-area community gardeners consume an average of 5.7 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, compared with 4.6 servings for home gardeners and 3.9 servings for non-gardeners.
And the average body-mass index for community gardeners is 24.2, compared with 27.2 for non-gardeners. A BMI of 25 or hi

With some humor attached to it, the Bye-Bye Bird Table should be something many bird-loving owners will be familiar with. Especially if you have rowdy birds who are strong enough to break through cages, this is one table that takes that idea and turned it into a odd-looking coffee table that can be something ideal for the modern home setting.

Of course, the table could probably give you more ideas, making it into a dual-purpose piece which is that of being a cage and a table. Regardless, the design is something original and should be a great add to your living room or even your bedroom. The surface has been embellished with far more vertical supports than necessary, as proven by its uncompromised support despite manipulation to the wires on one side.
